When the ABA died it injected a virus into the NBA... The 3 Pt shot was an Experiment that went wrong! The NBA used to be built on height and the ability to get up to the rim. Big men were the Kings because no one else could get 2 pts any easier than a big man right next to the basket. The 3 pt shot changed all that with a trick shot that gets you 50% more points per shot. If the NBA put the shot further out where almost no one could shoot 33% from 3's... It could work... the big man wouldn't be rendered useless by an average 3 pt shooter.
